Pregame Meals - MAHS / Monroe GA Community Outreach

Monroe MAHS Football Community Outreach

Grace Baptist Church was both honored and blessed to partner with the MAHS Football team during the 2017 season.

Pastor Tommy Fountain Sr served as the team Chaplain for the team. When presented with the opportunity, Pastor Tommy was excited about the chance it provided for the Church to serve the community. He knew from past experience that great relationships are developed from things we all have in common - and MAHS Football was something the whole community could get excited about!

Serving Food and Devotionals - MAHS Community Outreach

The Lord provided the opportunities to apply biblical lessons from the seasons unfolding events. Even simple things such as their record before a particular game provided opportunities to apply principles for character building and good sportsmanship.

Peoples hearts are hungry for the Love and truth found in God's word. By serving and loving people we will become the hands and feet of Jesus and fulfill God's direction to tell others about the good news and free gift he is offering believers.

People living in darkness will often seek out the light when it is shown to them. What a blessing we have to show the light of God's love and spread that light to be seen and felt by the hearts of many in the Monroe GA community.

Grace Family - Serving at MAHS Football Games

The Grace Family showed up huge with a servants heart. The crew served 13 pregame meals, provided supplies, financial support, devotionals, ran the concession stand and even shot video of the games. The Grace crew was literally all over the stadium!

We had the joy of being a positive influence in the hearts and minds of the players this season. The Grace teams provided selfless service and conducted devotionals with participating players. This will have an eternal impact for those in the community. As the good news is shared by new believers it then spreads to immediate family members and then throughout the community as the light of God's word is shared.

Fox 5 Atlanta Team of The Week

The Monroe Hurricanes season was a resounding success with a 10-2 winning record and a state playoff appearance. As exciting as we were about the winning record, the biggest wins of the season occurred when several players accepted Christ and were baptized. We are excited for these players because they claimed eternal victory and a legacy far beyond one single football season.

In October we held a celebration baptism service at Grace Baptist Church and served lunch for the team. The testimony of those players accepting Christ and then following with believers Baptism had a lasting impact on other players who had witnessed their transformation. Additional team members were soon to follow in accepting Christ and we expect more changed lives to follow in the future.
What a wonderful testimony to the power of our Lord to change lives and heal hearts!

Grace Baptist will be looking forward to the next great Purple Hurricanes Football season and is excited to serve the Monroe Football team and the community!

And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. -Mark 16:15

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
